As the second criminal heartthrob, next to Jeremy Meeks, Mekhi Alante Lucky has managed to transform his troubled massed into a profitable modeling career. The former felon recently signed with St. Claire Modeling. Since then he’s shot amazing editorials and gained a large following on social media.
20-year-old Mekhi was arrested in April last year after caught speeding in a stolen vehicle. The North Carolina resident racked up five more charges between then and December. His list of charges includes allegedly assaulting a woman, breaking and entering, resisting an officer, and two misdemeanor violations of his parole.
One of his many mugshots was posted on the internet and went viral. People nicknamed him “Prison Bae” and his likeness landed him a modeling contract. One of his most distinctive features is the fact that has one of his eyes is blue and the other is brown. He also has a fit, slender frame perfect for sample sizes. Not to mention, Mekhi is obviously handsome.
As previously stated, his fame follows behind Jeremy Meeks who was awarded a modeling contract in 2015 from White Cross Management after his mugshot went viral on Facebook. Jeremy severed time after being arrested for felony weapon charges. Now he’s basically the face of Phillip Plein. He’s also acquired a lot of money and is currently under scrutiny for ditching his wife for the heiress of Topshop.
Unlike Jeremy, Mekhi was lucky enough to not have to serve jail time for his crimes. In fact, he actually doesn’t like the “hot felon”/”prison bae” label. He sees his new modeling career as an opportunity to turn his life around. According to him, he plans on going further than Jeremy in his modeling career. His agency’s manager, Damiana O’Bryant, hopes to have in at New York Fashion Week next year in February.
