Nicki Minaj is no longer apologizing for her artistry with, The Pinkprint. From the first track “All Things Go” this project offers up her most revealing album thus far. Known for her humorous antics, style, and image she’s shed all the fads and strips down to her core. Still oozing with sexuality she drops the wall that was ever built between her an the public.
To date we really haven’t known the real Nicki Minaj and this give us the chance to feel her out. There’s really only so many costumes one can consume and hide behind. Thankfully she’s done her thing with this album. In a time where albums range between 10 – 12 track she’s dishing out a total of 20 on the deluxe version.
If anyone has ever doubted her star power think again. She’s been able to get heavy hitters like Beyonce, Ariana Grande, and Meek Mills on this third installment. Now when you can get Beyonce on your album apparently you’re doing something right. Although, she has her fair share of controversy nothing is stopped her in her tracks to the top.
If Iggy is looking to make a real stamp in hip hop maybe its time to start taking notes. Needless, to say Nicki knows what she’s doing and glad to hear not feel the pressure to label her music anymore. There is still a sense of pop friendly tracks like, “The Night is Still Young” that’ll surely be played on Top 40 Charts. Most important her direction with this latest effort is clear and respected.
