Before Billions
J. Billions Wimberley started in the beauty industry by accident. After moving to Atlanta, Ga, she became the shampoo girl for her godmother’s salon. Eventually, Wimberley’s godmother opened another salon and she continued making sure everyone was beautiful. With the new and larger location, she was able to move up to becoming a braider and stylist for natural hair.
No More Boring Hair
Billions Wimberly likes how hair has the power to transform people and the way they feel. To further her knowledge in the world of beauty, Billions decided to go to cosmetology school. Never one to be stuck, she decided sitting was not the route for her and became an apprentice. With additional working experience in a salon, she was able to gain the needed hours and obtained her cosmetology license.
One thing about Billions is her love for none boring hair. She wants all of her clients to just say no more boring hair! How? Easy! Just step outside of your normal hair style and try something new and different. Keep in mind, you don’t have to have a super bold hot pink color to be different. Simple and small changes can make the biggest difference. Billions has found ways to make sure that boring hair is nowhere near her. Using her skills, she has garnered a lot of other hairstylist’s attention and they want to learn from her. This caused her to go from just a stylist to an educator.
Be A 360 Stylist
One question that many have for Billions is how to make money as a hairstylist. To answer this and provide other useful skills, Billions decided to create The 360 Stylist Makes Billions Mansion Retreat. At the retreat, 10 students will have the ability to learn from some of the best in their respective field in the beauty industry. The students will have their own room and three meals a day for their stay at the mansion. They won’t have to worry about anything so that they can focus on the classes that will help them grow and get on a mission for billions. Yisrael Wright, Cynthia Lumzy, Terrance Davidson, and Sierra Gates will be on hand to teach the students over the course of 3 nights, 2 days stay at the mansion. The overall goal is to make sure that the students learn how to expand in their craft.
Billions and Beyond
Billions Wimberly is a lover of hair and the ability to transform her clients. When she is not being a hairstylist, she is being an educator and an entrepreneur with her very own hair line; Billions Luxury Extensions. In true Billions’ fashion, the hair extensions are high quality and very pretty. There is always a time for her to educate other hair stylists, after her mansion retreat, Billions will team up with Erica Keelen for The Custom Experience Workshop. At the workshop with Keelen, the students will get to learn all about custom coloring for hair.
