The foursome that is Havok Jones has officially released a new single properly titled, “Who You” ready for summer 2014. The upbeat heavy hitting track is infections from the moment pressing play. These chicks are not playing and are bringing what’s been missing from music for almost a decade now (i.e. talent and swag). There is nothing like hearing a girl group blending harmonies and swagalicous lyrics to follow. As we all know there comes a time to check a guy and put him right in his place when you know he’s not on your level. Let’s just say these ladies aren’t holding anything back.
A track like “Who You” ft. Young Thug is an anthem for a new generation of women to take no shame in being independent. We all have a moment when we need to toot our horn for staying faithful to the grind and this is the track to throw on. In an industry that’s filled with smoke and mirrors it’s almost unheard of to find authentic talent. Thankfully, for a group like Havok Jones there isn’t any need to look any further. These chicks even had the audacity to record a rendition of the classic, “Who Can I Run To” by Xscape that would bring anyone listening to their feet.
Looking back to their most recent track, “Who You” one can’t forget the verse that Young Thug spits. Needless, to say he brings the fire to get any party jumping. Havoc Jones is a group to look out for if you haven’t been paying attention yet. This is a moment we’ll be looking back at as to when R&B legends were birthed and prevailed in an uncertain industry.
