Sounds like Nicki Minaj isn’t taking any prisoners in her new era “The Pink Print”. A few hours ago hip-hops most relevant female rapper has released a track that she’s been cooking up with Soulja Boy. You heard right she teamed up with Soulja Boy on a track called, “Yasss Bish.” The track within itself is the same formula Nicki has been using for sometime now. The reference to being the leader in female rap and random shout outs here and there. This era of Nicki is very similar to that of when she was only dropping mixtapes to gain exposure. The vibe of the release is very southern rap inspired. Lyrically the track sounds more like an announcement rather than an actual single. It’ hard to picture it as something you’ll hear blaring through the club or bumping while summertime cruising.
She confirms that her first single for the upcoming project “The Pink Print” will be releasing in two weeks. If you listen closely she even references to herself as “The Queen” because she is a “machine”. One can’t help, but wonder if this is another stab at Lil Kim. On the other hand Nicki can hold he own on the beat, but seems to be missing something. There was a time when you listened to a Nicki Minaj track just because of the fire she was about to lay on it. Looking back at when she did “Monster” with hip-hop legends and heavy hitters she would still walk away with the best verse. Now the water seems a little lukewarm with a lack of flavor.
