Actress Olivia Wilde is the face of H&M’s Conscious Exclusive collection, last year she teamed up with H&M and Dosomething.org on a clothes recycling campaign called Comeback. She is the co-founder of philanthropic e–commerce site Conscious Commerce and supports a host of other environmentally friendly charities. So it’s no wonder she would be the face of a brand and something she actually believes in. “Sustainability has got a bad reputation, especially in fashion,” Wilde said. “I hope the collection empowers women around the world who love fashion but want to consume it in a more sustainable way. It gives them the chance to look their best, and also act responsibly. I also hope the rest of the fashion industry is watching.” “Olivia Wilde is the perfect choice for this collection because she shares H&M’s commitment to a more sustainable future.” said Ann-Sofie Johansson, Creative Advisor H&M.
The pieces from the collection are made from organic linen, hemp, organic cotton, organic leather, and recycled polyester and will launch in about 200 H&M stores and online on April 16. I do like how eco-friendly the line is and the pieces are really nice as well!
