The fashion industry might take a whole 360 after this documentary; A Perfect 14 hits TV screens. The fashion documentary will be featuring models: Elly Mayday, Laura Wells and Kerosene Deluxe The model trio who cuts the standard of a size 0 model are the main subject of the film, the three will explain the struggles and painful breakthroughs they had to encounter to make it in the fashion industry. Producer, James Early O’Brian a Canadian native focuses on modeling agencies giving women with curves a hard time to excel as models in the industry.

While making the film all models where willing to explain to troubles and emotional experiences they had to partake in to make it to the top as “plus” size models. The staff of the documentary also spoke to modeling agencies, fashion photographers, and designers to shed light on the public’s wrapped perception of body image and what is considered ‘beautiful’.
In a trailer for the film, Mayday recalls how throughout her life, people made her feel terrible about her body while complementing her pretty face – that is until she finally came to embrace her figure. “There’s nothing wrong with seeing a skinny ‘average’ model on magazine covers, but it comes 95% of the time there is a problem.”
