Skye Morales is a 19-year-old rising R&B sensation who moves at the beat of her own drum. Skye describes her sound as eclectic and organic, and shes adamant on making music that is in her own lane with a unique style of her own.
Skye Morales recently dropped her latest single, “New One”, which embodies the newness currently surrounding her life.
Her single “New One” is a melodic anthem for everyone who is moving on and starting something new in their life. It explains a relationship that since has ended and starting fresh with a new one.
Skye reveals that initially there was no personal situation that inspired the song, in fact she liked the beat and the words just surfaced. However, more recently she has experienced so many new opportunities which drives her to put in work and focus on her music.
Born in the Bronx, NY, Skye Morales moved to Atlanta when she was very young. Atlanta has a huge reputation for its artist and music and although the market may seem intimidating, Skye came on the scene ready to work. With the help of her stepfather and notable producer, WLPWR, grooming her and pushing her to keep going, there is no way she can lose. She says the best advice he’s given her is to always stay focus.
So what is next for Skye Morales? She is a very busy young woman. In addition to working on her music and getting ready to release more songs you can find her performing on October 6th on the Strictly R&B stage at the A3C Music Festival in Atlanta.
