Atlanta is a place known for its diverse heritage, hospitality, soul food, and trap music, truly embodying southern culture. Last night, BET Networks brought “the A” some Brooklyn flavor to familiarize the market with the network’s newest reality series, “Hustle In Brooklyn.”
The BK vibe was recreated at the event as BET converted Atlanta hotspot Terminus 330 to a scene reminiscent of a Brooklyn neighborhood. The room was decorated with a brownstone stoop, a bodega with “Hustle In Brooklyn” magazines featuring the cast, street lights and signs, newspaper stands and New York City metro cards with the “Hustle In Brooklyn” logo. To complete the Brooklyn décor, specialty cocktails ‘Notorious’ and ‘Nutcrackers’ were served, and New York-based DJ Lindsey kept the party moving on the ones and twos.
Speaking to the crowd, cast members Santos, Darnell and Azia talked about their individual passions, what makes Brooklyn such a special place, and their excitement about the show. Azia, an aspiring rapper and singer, performed two of her original tracks, “Brooklyn Girl” and “3000,” that electrified the crowd.
“Hustle In Brooklyn” airs Tuesdays at 10/9c pm on BET.
Created and produced by Entertainment One and Creature Films, “Hustle In Brooklyn” follows a group of young and driven millennials, and tracks how their lives intersect in the pursuit of personal and professional success. This 9-episode one-hour reality series is a coming of age aspirational story set in one of NYC’s most iconic boroughs.
