TRESemme has come out with a product that is supposed to reduce frizz and help you maintain your silky straight hair style for up to 7 days called ‘7 Day Keratin Smooth’.  The system is made up of 3 products: the shampoo, conditioner, and keratin treatment serum.  It has recently undergone an upgrade with the shampoo having lower sulfates, and the conditioner and treatment serum being infused with a new thermal technology that is activated with the use of a flat iron.  The thermal technology along with the keratin is supposed to help with frizz reduction and mimic a salon keratin treatment, but at a more affordable price tag.

After seeing commercials and ads in my favorite magazines, I decided to give it a try.  My hair is naturally wavy, curly, and frizzy.  So this means that my hair immediately frizzes up in humidity.  Living in Atlanta makes taming my hair while it is straight a daily chore that I’d rather not deal with.  So when I heard about this product, I got excited to try it.  I washed my hair, conditioned it, added the serum and blow dried my hair.  Immediately, I noticed that my hair was super bouncy, soft and shiny, just from blow drying!

After sectioning off my hair, I took relatively thin pieces of hair and flat ironed my hair using the comb-chase method until my entire head was straight.  My hair looked fabulous! It was voluminous, shiny, and bouncy.  I had swing baby!

However, my look did not exactly look the same as it had did when I first flat ironed it and styled it over the next two days.  The humidity did a number on my hair, but it still looked 10 times better than what it would have looked like without the treatment.  Therefore, I give this product a 7 out of 10 overall.  It definitely made my hair more manageable, soft, and less frizzy than without the product.
