Comedian and radio personality, Rickey Smiley can now officially add author to his list of titles. While on air for the nationally syndicated Rickey Smiley Morning Show this morning (04/10/2017), the Birmingham, Alabama native announced that he has landed a book deal. Titled STAND BY YOUR TRUTH: And Then Run for Your Life, Smiley’s new book will be a memoir, life guide, and testimonial all in one. “This is something that will make you laugh as well as make you cry,” said Smiley.
“Writing a book and putting some of my thoughts and my concerns about our modern world to paper has been a dream of mine for many years. After spending considerable time backstage with Gallery publisher, Jennifer Bergstrom, I just knew that she saw that part of me that needed to be committed to a book format. I am so thrilled she saw my vision and Gallery will be my publisher.”
STAND BY YOUR TRUTH: And Then Run for Your Life is scheduled for publication on November 14, 2017. It will be released by Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster.
