According to TMZ, blue-eyed soul veteran, Robin Thicke will make a public attempt to win back his high school sweetheart, actress Paula Patton. The song is called what the romantic R&B singer intends to do, “Get Her Back”.
It’s like witnessing the making of a cheesy, yet suspenseful romantic film. The separated couple have been together since they were babies! (Well, since high school). It is not at all surprising that Robin Thicke would take such a bold and public attempt to get back the love of his life. Since the start of his song writing and singing career, Robin Thicke has had no shame expressing the love he has for Paula Patton. He is always melodically candid about his feelings for Paula Patton, even featuring her bare (& beautiful) body on his first album cover, A Beautiful World, released in 2003.
Is performing a brand new, never heard before song on one of the biggest award shows in the music industry a good idea? Is it a good idea for him to do something like this for both publicity and personal gain? The answer to the question is simply in the hands of the audience and Paula Patton. Although the “pulled from a romance movie” gesture is extremely beautiful, things don’t always turn out so wonderfully in reality.
