The Secret Society Media Awards was created to honor Houston’s most influential journalist. Public relations firm Thinkzilla and 1000 Men Empowerment Group fashioned an elegant awards ceremony on September 24, 2014. The night began with scrumptious food sponsored by Chef DeeDee Deelicious Catering and Dj J-Sixx set the atmosphere during cocktail hour. Some of radios finest were honored such as Bob Mackay, Larry Johnson, and Mary Kennedy. Thinkzilla CEO Velma Trayham was also honored because of her expertise in public relations, branding and event production. The Secret Society Media Awards attracted Houston business owners, community leaders, media personalities and bloggers.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Children Of Incarcerated Parents through a toy drive organized by 1000 Men Empowerment Group. 1000 Men Empowerment Group was founded by Bruce Johnson to change lives of men around the world, empowering them to pursue their dreams and to foster hope for a more productive future.
