Why is that people can never just go out and have a good time? That’s what party goers are probably wondering after an event headlined by heavy hitter rap stars T.I. and Young Jeezy was shot up over the weekend.
During CIAA weekend in North Carolina, two people were shot during a T.I. and Jeezy performance at Label Nightclub, according to Love B. Scott.
The captain of the Charolette-Mecklenburg Police Department, J.D. Thomas, released this statement:
“Two people [were] injured with gunshot wounds. One person drove themselves to the hospital, and one person was transported by ambulance. Both are non-life-threatening injuries.“
Label, where the shooting occurred, released a statement shortly after.
“Please be advised that an incident occurred this evening at Label following an event. The exact circumstances concerning the incident have yet to be determined. Officials at Label are cooperating with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department concerning their investigation of this matter. Tonight’s events at Label will take place as scheduled. It should be noted that there will continue to be very substantial security for all Label events during tournament weekend. And Label remains fully committed to the safety and security of its patrons.“
Aside from the two victims, no other parties were injured including T.I. and Jeezy. No arrests have been made in the incident.
We’re glad that the two injured parties are going to survive. People have to learn to leave the guns at home when partying. It’s not that serious.
