The end of summer is always looked at so sadly, but the seasons, just like life must go on. When it comes to summer, the demise of the summer blockbuster gives way to a season of horror! September and October always signal the coming of Fall and the scary movie season. Surprisingly, Sinister 2 is setting the bar high and early with some scenes so scary you won’t sleep for weeks! Bughuul is back and this time around he has some “Sinister” twins (Robert & Dartanian Sloan) to do his bidding. The boys and their protective mother (Shannyn Sossamon) find themselves in a rural house marked for death as Bughuul is determined to spread its wickedness.
We definitely need a good scare for summer’s end and this movie delivers it. If you recall the original movie came out back in 2012 and was met with rave reviews. With the lackluster horror franchises of recent years the hype surrounding this sequel is a very good thing. Let’s just hope that Bughuul stays exactly where he is–in the movies. Sorry, but some of the stuff in this film has be rooted in actual events. You better take a few friends with you and arrange a sleepover because Sinister 2 will have scared to head home alone!
