Off the tennis court, Serena Williams has opened up to the world with her free spirit. She has graced the headlines for allegedly dating Toronto rapper Drake, dancing in Beyonce’s “Sorry” video, flawless bikini pictures and just showing the world her carefree side. Of course she is quite the American athlete. Her great contribute to professional tennis has landed her at number 1 in women’s singles tennis. Tennis isn’t the only thing Williams is good at. She has shared her beauty on our screens in films such as Hair Show, TV shows like The Simpsons, My Wife and Kids, and Venus and Serena. Williams is more than a tennis player. What is #BLACKGIRLMAGIC? It’s simple. Huffington Post, Julee Wilson said it best “this term is used to illustrate the universal awesomeness of black women. It’s about celebrating anything we deem particularly dope, inspiring, or mind-blowing about ourselves.” The term was created by CaShawn Thompson. Thompson felt its a movement that celebrates the power, beauty and resilience of black women.
