When TV reality star Kim Kardashian and Kanye West announce they were officially a couple, however cringe -worthy the visuals may be, we can all agree that they’re a match made in heaven. The have an affinity for the finer things in life and they are far from ashamed to be about that life right there. Now that they’ve welcomed their baby girl, North, into the world, plans to build a home have been undoubtedly fast-tracked. In the midst of all the shopping, designing and all the things that come with making a house a home, somehow it just wouldn’t be complete without … golden toilets. This takes ‘Watch the Throne’ to the extreme, no?
British tabloid The Sun claims Kardashian and West spent around $767,000 on four gold-plated toilets for their swanky new Bel Air, Calif., mansion.
They also reportedly dropped $444,000 on six special beds and nearly $325,000 on kitchen appliances, plus a Swarovski crystal-encrusted fridge freezer.
This isn’t the first time the reality star has been linked to an over-the-top commode. Last year, another tabloid report claimed Kardashian spent $100,000 on a self-flushing toilet. She purportedly made the purchase because she was scared of guests forgetting to flush on their own.
Even though they might have a combined net worth of around $140 million, we aren’t so sure Kardashian and West would choose to spend their hard-earned cash on luxury latrines.
UPDATE: Gossip Cop got to the bottom of the Kimye commode reports and, it turns out, the duo didn’t splurge on the over-the-top bathroom fixture.
Meh, so it’s not true then? Why was this such an easy rumor to believe though? Thoughts?
