What is your favorite genre? Why? My favorite genre is non-fiction motivational. It inspires me to stay positive and focus, I always feel empowered after reading the genre.
How have you handled an unhappy reader regarding a book you wrote?Honestly, I take the bitter with the sweet. I respect all views good or not so good, because at the end of the day when I drop a book it’s because I liked it or loved it and wanted to share it with the world. When I introduce it to the world, I’m saying that I can handle what comes behind that. I can determine if a review is a personal attack or constructive criticism, I reject the personal and embrace the constructiveness and grow from them both.
What are your thoughts on the ebook craze? Do you think paperbacks are becoming extinct? Me personally, from an author/publisher’s perspective, I can’t stand e-books. I believe that it has made authors/independent publishers lazier than they already were and has made them comfortable with being afraid of what it used to consist of to be an author. As an author, I still do book signing tours with paperbacks and is still well received by my supporters and readers old and new. Although my books are on e-books, (because as a business man I would be a fool not to be), readers still purchase paperbacks when I come to their city or state. i continue to prove that paperbacks are still relevant and still sale. My e-books do not out sell my paperbacks and I sell tens of thousands.
What do you think about ebooks priced $2.99 and below? Is this a reflection of the author’s worth? I don’t agree with the 99 cents or $2.99 pricing for the e-books. What readers have to understand is that we as authors relieve a percentage off of that pricing. It takes a lot to write and get a book into a print ready form whether e-book or paperback. I don’t feel that price is feasible enough, but because the masses have embraced it, readers believe all authors’ work should be in the same price range. I believe that if authors would have set the price at $9.99 and stood firm then that’s how much e-books would cost. So, I blame the inexperience or the under minders for the controversy surrounding pricing.
What advice would you give an aspiring author? Never let anyone deter or discourage you from making your literary dream a published reality. Most importantly though, learn the business!

Do you think the industry is over saturated with too many authors? You can never have too many books in circulation, but I believe the industry is saturated with low quality material.
