Steph Curry has had a lot of success with his shoes lately. Earlier this year he dropped his limited edition Gold Under Armour CURRY 3ZER0, which sold out immediately. Only after he created a contest featuring a scavenger hunt through the streets of New York City. Now he’s showing off his new UA Curry 4s on the court.
During the NBA finals, Steph sported his fourth signature basketball shoe from his popular line with Under Armour. He’s notorious for using his basketball games as promotional tools for his products. So much so that a lot of people watch his games just to see what pair of shoes he’s going to wear. And if they’re something new to look out for. It’s a better marketing than using a standard commercial.
The UA Curry 4s feature a knit blend, with another lightweight material to give wearers a sock-like fit. The uppers are all white, but the sole is white speckled with gold. The logo is in gold too, however, it’s changed. In previous pairs of Steph Curry shoes Under Armours logo prevailed on the canvass. But, this time “SC” for Steph Curry is large and in charge.
He debuted the UA Curry 4s in his first NBA finals game, this season. A couple days later, Steph wore the same shoes in a different colorway for an away game. This time the shoes were in black and featured a suede-like upper. They still have the gold “SC” logo and a white bottom, but the soles are icy blue.
Critics have already given positives responses to the shoes that won’t even be available to the public for a couple of months. Actually, most shoe critics say that these are the best pair of sneakers that the NBA player has come out with thus far. Even though the logo looks like a copy of the “SportsCenter” logo, it’s still a major improvement from just using the Under Armour logo.
The UA Curry 4s are set to officially come out this October. However, Steph has mentioned that there’s a possibility that they can be available as early as September for “Back To School” shoppers.
