Now this is a wild guess but if ya girlfriend or wife has a thing for the caramel or red brothers, she might have model/actor Boris Kodjoe as one of her “yes Lawwwddd, I can look all day just don’t tell my man” crushes.
As a series regular on the BET show “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” Kodjoe’s style always remains intact and neat. And while females may admire him for his looks and family duties, some of us guys may have an interest in his choice of style.
We all probably “know” what works for us by now, but that doesn’t mean we can’t learn from others. Today, we explore a little bit about Mr. Kodjoe’s dressing tips.
Here’s something you may not know that’s all over the net. Kodjoe co-founded the company, World of Alfa, alongside his brother Patrick. Alfa is the face behind custom made, men’s suits at an affordable price.
It specializes in giving a luxury and tailored feel to it without breaking your pockets. In support of that, here’s what Kodjoe told Men’s Health about the Alfa line:
We’ve figured out a way to make custom suits affordable for everyone and it’s changed the game. Suits are just $200. Shipping is just $30. It’s all custom hand-made. You design all of this yourself. You pick from every single detail. Now people who’ve never had the chance to wear custom, are exposed to the luxury of a custom suit. When they put it on they’re like ‘Oh my god, this is such a big difference!
In addition to what his company stands for, Kojoe does have his own pointers about style via Lulyhypermarket:
On wearing suits:
Kodjoe suggests a tailored suit created specifically for your body type. Don’t give-in on style, loose fitting or costs. Your tastes belong to you and whatever that investment requires then do so
On choosing a suit jacket:
Kodjoe advises that a jacket with more than two buttons shouldn’t be among the deciding pile. If all else fails, rock a vest, tighten a tad bit in the back and call it a day
On trying to make a fashion statement with mix-match concepts:
Kodjoe isn’t an advocate for what some call “fashion” and others call downright tacky. Mixing and matching doesn’t always make a statement. Sometimes, it’s okay to be bold or even safe with solid colors. Sure, you can choose one or two patterns, but don’t let it go past that combo of choice. SN: You don’t need to be looking like Boo Boo the Fool to the next power…or something mathematically
On choosing a suit:
Go for a men’s fitted suit that will help bring out your best features. Details such as a slimmer fit or shorter hemline can make the world of a difference
In case you’re wondering, Alfa wasn’t made for just men but for women as well. The inspiration behind Alfa’s creation was that Kodjoe wanted to to make a luxury style that people could afford.
