From New York City to Atlanta, to Florida to Oregon, to Texas to California, protesters from all across America came together this past Saturday to rally on behalf of Trayvon Martin. Celebrities like Jay-Z and Beyoncé joined in on the cause with Rev. Sharpton and Trayvon Martin’s mother Sybrina Fulton in New York. Trayvon’s father Tracy Martin, also led a rally in Miami. Social media has played a BIG role in this case…it was Twitter user @moreandagain behind the petition to get juror B37’s book deal squashed and it was social that got more than 22,000 signatures for the NAACP petition with thanks to Beyoncé.
