The Haves and The Have Nots Cast Dish on New Season at Atlanta Press Lunch!

Lunch time! We LOVE Tyler Perry’s The Haves and The Have Nots!

Like millions of viewers everywhere, every Tuesday night we find ourselves glued to the television ready to watch the latest antics of a cast that always delivers the drama! Thankfully we were invited to the Atlanta Press Lunch for the latest season where three cast members; Angela Robinson (Veronica Harrington), Renee Lawless (Katheryn Cryer), and Tyler Lepley (Benny Young).

As we mentioned the press conference began with lunch–and what a lunch! The spread was amazing with everything from fried chicken to decadent cheesecakes and miniature pies. Afterwards,  guests were greeted by welcome remarks from show producer and Tyler Perry Studios, vice president, Mark E. Swinton. Then guests were treated to an advanced screening of the first episode of the new season. Naturally, everyone was excited! As you may recall, the prior season ended with Katheryn Cryer shooting the District Attorney and demanding Veronica Harrington “get her off!” We won’t spoil the details of the episode here, but we will say fire and ice collide! The brutality, viciousness, and sheer outrage throughout this episode will knock you off your feet! Check out a preview of the season by clicking here.

Following the screening, Tyler, Angela, and Katheryn did a Q & A where they discussed the episode, the progression of the show, Tyler Perry’s genius, and gave us insight into their characters. Check out a few clips below:

We love how personable and Angela, Renee, and Tyler were. Each of them was so thorough and open with their responses. They are amazing people, and we have no doubt Tyler Perry saw the same thing when he cast each of them! Be sure you tune into the new season premiering Tuesday, January 3rd at 9 PM EST only on OWN!

Hey Mikey!

WHO AM I? That’s probably what you’re thinking? It’s simple I’m this generation’s “Dear Abby!” I was raised in the Fourth Ward of Atlanta, educated in the School of Hard Knocks, and rescued by the concrete and steel of New York City. Life at best will always be bittersweet. The sooner you accept that, the better off you’ll be. I’d prefer to be on your sweeter side. Everyone needs a listening ear, extra shoulder, and open arms when life gets rough. I’m your new best friend, whe it all goes south remember I’m a mouse click or tweet away. Hang in there kids, you’re gonna love kickin’ it with me!!! -MIKEY
