The Haves & The Have Nots began on a brutally honest note as both Katheryn and Jim confess their sins to Wyatt. They both reveal their affairs to him. Jim asks him is he gay and is he in love with Jeffrey. He tells them he is straight, but they inform him he is more likely going to be raped while in prison. Wyatt refuses to believe them. Jim declares he is tired of his son and that now he can deal with the pain of losing both he and Amanda; and demands he get out of his face. Elsewhere, Hanna receives the shock of her life when he arrives at Hanna’s doorstep holding his son,Q. He demands she let him in or he will disappear by the time she calls the police. She pleads with him to let him stay, but he refuses to give in unless she tells him where Candice is. She refuses to give her daughter up and tries to stop him, but he slaps her away from him and leaves with his son.
Landon and Maggie try to cover up Veronica’s outburst. David is in shock from Veronica’s behavior, but resolves to go home despite Maggie’s warnings. Benny arrives home with food for his mother and finds Hanna’s face bruised from a slap from Quincy. He tells her to lock the door and goes after Quincy, determined to get him back and save his nephew. At The Sarandon, Candice and Landon meet with Jeffrey, but their conversation is disrupted when Melissa arrives and asks to speak with him. She tells Jeffrey she is pregnant, but he is not ready to be a father. He goes to see his mother, there he finds her drunken and despondent. She tells him they did the pregnancy multiple times and he slept with her while she was ovulating. She then tells him he has to marry her now and makes fun of him wanting to be with a man. Jeffrey snaps and calls her stupid and simple, declaring she does not have the permission hurt him anymore. He tells her how badly he wants to be with another man and that he deserves love like everyone else. He leaves her alone wondering what they will name the baby. Benny finds Quincy at a strip club and slams his car into his and then beats him to a pulp.
David arrives home and refuses to leave despite Veronica’s threats. She warns him if he stays he will need hospital. He tells her he is getting her some psychiatric help and goes uptairs to bed. At the Sarandon, Landon comes to visit Jeffrey and passion ensues as the latter takes his clothes off and begins to kiss him. Benny calls Veronica to help him out, while Candice meets with Oscar again. She tells him she wants to have sex with him and they go to her room. Veronica gets Benny out of jail, while Candice gives Oscar some “direction.” Veronica comes onto Benny, thinking about David and Maggie. She begins to kiss him and goes down on him. Candice and Oscar start, but are interrupted by Hanna who informs her of what is happening with Benny. Benyy drops Veronica off and gives him her SUV as a gift. Inside, Veronica douses her bedroom with gasoline while David sleeps and sets it aflame with a cigarette. She leaves the house and sits on her porch, finishing her cigarette.
