“Transformations Beauty Studio” brand.These sisters have managed to run a successful business featuring some of Atlanta’s best talent in beauty from lash extensions, makeup application, natural hair, and weaves! Numerous celebrities, influencers, and bloggers have graced the salon such as; B Simone, Vena Excell, Nadirah Ali, Keely The Boss (LHHATL), Nikki Allure, Dr. Heavenly (Bravo TV), and most recently WE TV’s Reemarkable spicy orange extensions. These ladies are constantly thinking of ways to evolve and grow the transformations brand. August 9th they will debut “Transformations Luxury Extensions”. This collection will feature Mink Brazilian Extensions, Cambodian, Burmese, and Indian Extensions featured in straight, body wave, loose waves, and curly textures. These sisters are no strangers to hard work. These boss twins discussed with us how they stay focused, committed, and relevant in such a saturated industry.
Starting your own business is something that is all the craze of today’s generation. We have makeup lines, online boutiques, fitness gurs, and of course, bundles and bundles. How did these young and successful ladies narrow down what industry they wanted to tackle? “Based on our surveys and clients expressed they wanted hair that lasted longer, looks great and feels amazing! We also wanted to offer hair textures that many aren’t offering to set us apart from your typical virgin hair store. We post different pictures and videos of hair .We utilize our social media platform and we very quickly noticed the engagement from our clients with each post .And that was the ultimate determining factor of what the clients loved, liked and or preferred”, they stated.
When is comes to staying power in the industry, the twins have stated that they make sure to stay in the loop of the latest trends by surveying their market and audience. “We stay ahead of the trends, so we can stay competitive in the industry and catering to the clients needs. Most importantly, staying dedicated and building relationships while being available”, they share. In addition to surveys and marketing with the audience; the twins have also opted to do what most are doing, utilize the power of social media. “We have been able to stay relevant with providing services with the latest trends . We leverage our influence by collaborating with social media influencers. Lastly but not least, we provide a great customer service experience,” shares the business moguls.
The twins must also manage business with family and this requires a great deal of focus which contributes to the staying power of the industry. What is it like working with family and trying to work with a business is what most would want to know. “It isn’t hard for us because we trust each other . As a sister and business partner we make sure we are looking out for our best interest as a whole”. There are several other roadblocks that come their way, which as you can imagine, require more attention then negative family vibes, if any. “The hardest thing is just getting the right people on your team . You will need great staff and people who want to put in the work and not just give up when it doesn’t look easy . We’re currently building with the perfect team at Transformations Beauty Studio”, they add.
Working with family and balancing motherhood can be quite a challenge, and it can also discourage a lot of women from wanting to venture out into the world of entrepreneurship. The business owners are here to help and share some insight “I balance motherhood by scheduling my clients to fit my life schedule. I also have a big support system with my kids and business. Teamwork makes the dream work, “ stated one of the brand owners. It is truly a form of therapy and relaxation”, they beam with delight. “We enhance our clients experience by engaging with them and always doing temperature checks to ensure they are enjoying their visit.
