Valentine’s day popped up in the blink of an eye. Yes, lovers day is quickly approaching, faster than we expected. Valentines Day is a day for the lovers but also a day for people who are single! So don’t get down if you are single this year. There is no right or wrong way to do Valentines Day. Below I listed some Do’s and Don’ts for the big day.
DON’T get hung up on the DAY itself and let it define your relationship.
Ladies to be honest, your man should be showering you all the time. Yes, Valentines is the one day for the lovers but don’t get so caught up that you let how the day transpires define your relationship. Gifts included. Remember its the thought that counts.
DO have a Girls Night with your best girlfriends if you are single. Or what I like to call “Galentines Day”.
Don’t mop around if you are single and don’t have a valentine. Grab your best girlfriends and have a girls night out. Get dinner, Grab a movie (Fifty Shades Freed!) or have a girls night in. Whatever you prefer but don’t mope around. Valentine’s day is not just for couples.
DON’T spend beyond your meansI say this to say it ain’t tricking if you got it. However, don’t break your pockets trying to get your significant other a gift. As I stated before,It’s the thought that counts. If you cant afford an expensive gift for your significant other then DONT. Think outside of the box of ways to say I love you.
Do Plan Ahead!
Everywhere will be packed so be sure to RSVP for your plans ahead of time. Don’t be that person that tries to RSVP the day before or worse day off!
Don’t do the same thing you do on regular date night!
Be creative. Be Spontaneous! It’s the one day of the year where you need to think outside the box and do something your lady wouldn’t expect! or ladies if you are in charge of planning the date do something he wouldn’t expect. Candle lite dinner is expected and if thats what you have in mind make it different.
