Ladies and Gents the Vancouver Fashion Week begins tomorrow and it is definitely an event you will not want to miss showcasing international designers collections for Summer/Spring 2015 Fashion. For the 13th year in a row, Vancouver Fashion Week (VFW) is showcasing its spring/summer 2015 international designer collections throughout its weeklong celebration beginning September 15th, 2014 with its opening Gala.
The Fashion Shows officially kickoff September 16th, 2015 and are through the 21st at The Queen Elizabeth Plaza located at 649 Cambie Street. The event will be filled with collections from over 30 international designers. Let’s think fashion fashionistas, you have the opportunity to attend an event where you are one of few who can see the finishing product of international fashion designers. If that isn’t a big deal then we do not know what is. The showcase will be expecting over 25,000 guest in attendance.
Kontrol Magazine has the lineup of the countries that the designers are from:
France, Italy, Japan, India, Norway, Australia, Korea and Brazil are just some of the countries being represented by designers at this season’s VFW, not to mention, the United States.

Wendy Ohiendorf
Wendy Ohlendorf has been a storeowner for over 20 years in the Portland community. Her love of fashion design came from her time in school at the Art Institute of Tampa where she focused on architecture and received her degree in Interior Design. As a collector of vintage apparel, being able to repurpose fabric is an important element in creating her designs.
Marley Pratts
Mariely grew up in a home where her mom sewed and her uncle was a local designer, so it’s no wonder she fell in love with fashion design at a young age. Her collections focus on basic pieces for sophisticated young women, with a luxurious feel. For Mariely, the foundation of her designs lay in the basics, which are always chic, with the right fabric, and forever classic.
