Shonda Rhimes has officially dubbed herself worthy of the title “Queen of Primetime Television.” the creator of ABC’s most successful run including “Private Practice,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” and “Scandal” will be adding another nail- biting series to her Shondaland collection this fall. “How to Get Away With Murder” stars Viola Davis as successful defense attorney Annalise Keating and tells the story of how she molds four of her ambitious law school students through her Criminal Law 100 class, also known as “How to Get Away With Murder.” The students get to deal with real cases that test their smarts, and often , their morality.
Rhimes leads primetime television in Thursday night dominance as this fall she will hold a 3 hour block of television on a single network. Her newest project includes her proven recipe for success—smart, sharp, in-charge women with a murder here and there.
“How to Get Away With Murder” will premier this fall on ABC at 10PM (EST). This time slot is reserved for the new show, pushing the network’s other popular show, Grey’s Anatomy,” to 8PM (EST), and “Scandal” to 9PM (EST). Viewers can expect a wild ride at Shondaland this fall as Rhimes proves she is number one at this television thing. Davis will be the second African American actress to snag a leading role in a television drama after Olivia Pope (Kerry Wahsington) has women clambering every Thursday night to tweet and Facebook about the “Scandal” tea.
Gladiators can move over for one more hour to make room for a new lady in town, Annalise Keating, as she lays down the law every thursday night at 10PM (EST) on ABC.
