The NAACP Image Awards is one of the longest standing multicultural ceremonies to date.
This award show honors the accomplishments of people of color who are in the fields of television, music, literature and film, and also honors the individuals or groups who promote social justice through their creative endeavors.

What a monumental day to pay homage to the African American men and women who have helped to pave the way to success for the up incoming creatives.
Yesterday, the voting began for Entertainer of The Year, the winner will be announced during the two hour special.
The voting is open to the general public starting today, October 9, by visiting the NAACP Image Awards website http://www.naacpimagewards.net – the only place to vote for 49TH NAACP IMAGE AWARDS – NAACP ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR. Voting closes on November 17.
