Wednesday Weezy introduced his newest artist to the Young Money label. Shockingly it was his own daughter Reginae Carter. In his ‘Weezy Wednesday’ series Wayne introduced his daughter as a new artist, as well as releasing a preview of her new single and video, ‘Mind Goin’ Crazy’. The 15 year old singer plays into trending culture in the song talking about shopping, friends and haters. She even endorses the most popular hair supplement on the market, ‘Hairfinity’.
This is nothing short of a teeny bop tune, however in the video Reginae is looking very mature for just 15 years. Little Ms. Carter also displays lots of personality in the video, and throughout the song. As a new and young artist the project isn’t bad, but it is not the best. There is definitely a lot of potential here, and with a creative genius like Weezy as your dad, can you really go wrong?
