Red Band fans were in a world of hurt and anger when word broke that FOX pulled the show from it’s future schedule after the last episode premiered December 3rd. Now they have come across even more bad news for the teen drama series: the possibility that the show could be catching the boot from FOX for good.
The FOX series Red Band Society was released as one of the contenders for a People’s Choice Awards last night. The series was nominated for Favorite New TV Drama. But yesterday the show was pulled from the ballots and the category. Along with Red Band Society were a couple of other television series that were cancelled or on the verge of cancellation including A to Z, Selfie, Gracepoint, and Stalker to name a few.
Fans were extremely upset and lit twitter on fire with the hashtag #SaveRedBandSociety. Although, there could be a possibility that these shows including Red Band Society weren’t pulled off the PCA ballots because of their television fate being in jeopardy. In the People’s Choice Award‘s blog, it was stated that the finalists for the awards would be determined after the intial voting ended on December 4th. This means Red Band Society and others may not have made the final cut in regards to vote-count. FOX has yet to give a statement about the show’s fate on their broadcasting station.
If you are a fan of the show and want to fight to keep it rolling, you can go on Twitter and hashtag #SaveRedBandSociety or you can sign the petition on change.org.
