Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye–“Earth’s Mightiest Heroes” are back and bigger than ever! Yes, the long awaited sequel to Avengers in Avengers: Age Of Ultron, is starting the summer blockbuster season off with a gigantic boom instead of a bang. This time around our team of heroes have take down a monster of their own making in the form of the artificially intelligent (and genocidal) Ultron! Wary of another invasion, Tony Stark enlists the aide of Bruce Banner in creating an intelligence that will serve as a global protector, effectively eliminating the need for The Avengers. However, in the process of his creation Ultron learns of the evil of humanity and its inherent flaws believing it is better for them to be wiped and rebuild the planet in his own image. Allied with “enhanced” humans, Pietro and Wanda Maximoff, (Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, respectively), it will take everything The Avengers have to take him down and give humanity a fighting chance against this mechanical man and his robotic hordes!
Let’s just say this sequel makes the prior movie look like child’s play! It is awesome how Ultron is portrayed more as sick, or broken, than truly evil. We all know someone who is looking for their place in the world. His problem is he could not figure out what his was and wanted to instead change it to his fitting. Then there is the sheer amount of action and number of Avengers was mind boggling! We knew Vision and The Twins would be in the film, but I do not think anyone expected to see War Machine (Don Cheadle) and Falcon (Anthony Mackie) as well, or see the former in battle. Marvel Studios is really setting up an amazing piece of work with its cinematic universe. The third phase of films is moving us closer to perhaps the biggest battle any movie has yet to see in Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and Avengers Infinity Wart Part 2 i. That is right! Thanos is coming for the Infinity Stones and no one in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is safe! Fear not you will be seeing your favorite heroes here and there–with a few new ones–in Captain America: Civil War and subsequent Marvel films. I do not know about you, but I am more than ready to hear these two words again: “Avengers Assemble!”
You can catch Avengers: Age Of Ultron in theaters everywhere nationwide!
