We haven’t heard anything from comedian/actor Tracy Morgan since the road accident that he was involved in which resulted in the death of his friend James McNair. The only words we have received from Morgan are the ones that were reported through his attorney Benedict Morelli. Yesterday, we received new that Tracy Morgan will be stepping out in front of a camera for the first time since the horrific accident on the “Today” show.
According to THR, Morgan will be partaking in his first post-accident interview for the Today show conducted by Matt Lauer. Morgan will also be joined by his lawyer Morelli during the interview.
The announcement was made a day after the settlement between Morgan, the two other passengers in the Mercedes sprinter, and Walmart who was at fault for the accident. The agreement deal is unspecified. The family of James McNair received a $10 million settlement from Walmart earlier this year in a separate lawsuit. It is unclear how Tracy Morgan will respond in this interview due to the fact that in November Morelli stated the comedian may never be the same because of the head trauma he suffered in the crash.
Guess we will find out next Monday. We hope all is well as Morgan continues to recover and cope with such a horrible vehicle accident.
