It has been 40 years since the athlete known as Bruce Jenner, now Caitlyn Jenner, won Gold in the decathlon during the 1976 Olympics held in Montreal. And what better way to flaunt your glorious achievement by posing nude for Sports Illustrated with your hardware dangling for everyone to see? The gold medal, that is.
A source from US Weekly says that the 66-year-old gold medalist will appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated this summer in honor of the Olympics and the 40-year anniversary of the 1976 Olympics where Jenner made a name for herself. According to a source, she will be wearing “nothing but an American flag and her Olympic medal.”
In 2015, Jenner spoke with fans about his Gold medal calling it her “most- prized possession.” But despite how important it was to her, she says she kept it hidden in her makeup drawer to keep it from her children. “I didn’t want them to constantly compare their own achievements to my time in the Olympics, so I haven’t displayed my medal.”
Now that her children are all grown up and successful in their own facets of life, Jenner says it might be time to hang the medal up. Looks like she can add a nude SI cover next to it as well.
