Robert Pattinson’s newest Dior Homme ad campaign was released on Friday. The new shoot is for the fashion brand’s Spring 2017 collection. Dior Homme’s spring campaign features the face of the brand Robert Pattinson in a dark and sultry mood, shot by Karl Lagerfeld. The whole series of images will begin showing up in magazines worldwide this weekend. Karl Lagerfeld photographed Pattinson outside in Paris during the dark of night. In one picture he’s sporting a sleek tuxedo, while another has him modeling a tightly fitted leather jacket, and in a third, he’s even wearing Dior frames. Speaking to Women’s Wear Daily, Pattinson says, “I’m always floored at the undeniable beauty of Paris. And at night in the alleys and the side streets, emptied of crowds, it’s almost more breathtaking. Contrasting shadows make everywhere you look seem like a frame from a movie.” According to Karl Lagerfeld, “I love to take photos at night in the streets, that is my outdoor studio.” He shot the campaign right outside his Paris photo studio, with a film-noir aesthetic depicting a dark Pattinson. Speaking about Pattinson, “he is very easygoing and easy to photograph. But at the same time there is something mysterious about him, which I love,” Lagerfeld said. “His profile is the modern version of an antique coin.” Pattinson has been one of the company’s faces for several years now. In June, he supported the line by attending the Dior Homme Paris Fashion Week Show. Now beginning Saturday, Pattinson’s new ads will appear in a variety of international magazines, including GQ in China and France’s Citizen K Homme Sport. Check out the photos down below! Other fall ads will also include A$AP Rocky and Larry Clark.
