6 Bedtime Beauty Tips to Help You Achieve Amazing Skin

When it comes to beauty, experts agree that getting plenty of sleep may be the closest thing you will find to a fountain of youth. While sleep is an essential part of any beauty regimen, there are also a few extra things you can do to help improve your skin’s youthful appearance while you’re getting some shut-eye.

If you are interested in ensuring you maintain a youthful, beautiful complexation for as long as possible, then make sure to utilize these bedtime beauty tips.

  1. Remove all Makeup and Wash Your Face

You need to always remove all traces of any makeup before you go to bed. To help make this a bit easier, consider using the Sante makeup remover. After all, racoon eyes aren’t attractive on anyone!

Also, if you fail to remove your makeup, all of the bacteria that you have picked up on your skin throughout the day will stay there too and can cause infections in your skin (and even your eyes) at night.

  1. Use Clean Satin or Silk Pillow Cases

Consider making the change to satin or silk pillowcases and change them on a regular basis. While silk pillow cases may be a bit more expensive than the traditional, cotton ones, they are much better for both your hair and skin.

Because these pillowcases are smooth, your skin won’t be crumpled while you are sleeping, and your hair won’t be as frizzy or tangled. Be sure you also change your pillowcases on a regularly basis. If you don’t then you may wind up sleeping on a bacteria covered pillow all night.

  1. Try to Sleep on Your Back as Much as Possible

This can be somewhat tricky if you don’t currently sleep this way. However, when you sleep on your back, it will help keep your face completely wrinkle free.

If you sleep on your front and you bury your head into your pillow, that can result in your skin scrunching up. Over time, this is going to cause wrinkles on your skin. These are permanent, so you want to avoid them.

  1. Invest in a Humidifier

Your air conditioning during the summer months and central heating in the winter suck all of the moisture out of the air. If you put a humidifier in your bedroom, it will help to put the moisture back in the air. Doing so will help to keep your skin from drying out and flaking.

  1. Moisturize Before Going to Bed

During the night is the ideal time for your moisturizer to work properly. While you’re asleep the moisturizer will penetrate deep into your skin, nourishing and hydrating it.

Apply a quality moisturizer to your neck and face and you will wake up with plump, soft skin.

  1. Stop the Appearance of Puffy Eyes

If you continue to wake up with puffy, swollen eyes, there are a few things that will help solve that issue for you.

The first thing you can do is just add another pillow to your bed. By doing this, you can raise your head higher when you are sleeping. When your head is higher, it will help fluids drain away from the eyes, which will reduce the likelihood of them looking puffy or swollen.

Another thing you can do is check the ingredients that are in the eye cream you use. The best thing for you to use for issues related to puffy eyes is a cream that includes caffeine as  this will help the fluids move better.

As you can see, there are a multitude of things you can do at bedtime to help ensure your skin remains youthful. Use a few of these tips and you really will be getting your beauty sleep every night.
