Sequels often do not live up to their parent films. However, London Has Fallen not only surpasses Olympus Has Fallen, but makes it look like an amateur movie! Gerard Butler is back as Secret Service Agent, Mike Banning, and yes President Asher (Aaron Eckart) is in danger again! This time, a family of terrorist bent on revenge for the loss in a drone strike, targets Western leaders at the funeral of the British Prime Minister. Mike and Aaron are cautious of attending the funeral, but realize as a Head of State, Asher must attend. The caution is confirmed when in a series of organized and coordinated attacks, multiple world leaders are killed and Mike has to summon all of his skills and wit to take down hundreds of terrorists, mercenaries, and criminals!
This film should be box office gold for Gerard, something he sorely needs after Gods of Egypt more than flopped last week. This is a movie that in many ways outdoes most superhero films, proving that spies and action are still a successful formula for a hit movie! Not only did London fall, it was decimated. Can you imagine Big Ben or the London Bridge really being destroyed? Well check out this film. We really loved the action scenes and it makes you think that something like this really can happen to any city anywhere in the world!
Be sure you catch London Has Fallen in theaters everywhere nationwide!
