Fanboys and fangirls everywhere can rejoice–Supergirl has been renewed for a second season! However, CBS will no longer carry the show, instead it is moving over to The CW with Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and The Flash! CBS declined on carrying the show after its ratings declined throughout its first season. Although its ratings were still strong, it seems The CW feels it is more of a homecoming for a series that should have been rightfully theirs from the jump.
This is an excellent move as the characters from all of the shows form a DC Comics Television Universe. Now that Supergirl is coming to The CW this means its titular character can have more crossovers with The Flash, and to a greater extent and other characters from the other shows. Perhaps this means the fifth season of Arrow and the third season The Flash are going to be backed with some Kryptonian muscle!
We just hope that Supergirls appearance in the Arrowverse will not delay the long rumored show based on Vixen. There should be enough room for both heroines on the network. We all know The CW has some time slots to fill! Sound off below and tell us what you think about Supergirl’s big move in the comments section below!
