Just when you thought the drama surrounding “Becky with the good hair” from Beyonce’s now infamous Lemonade album had died down, Damon Dash throw in his two cents. As you may recall, the woman believed by most to be Becky–the woman Jay-Z allegedly had an affair with–Rachel Roy is his ex-wife. After Rachel was (rightfully) stung by thousands of the members of The BeyHive, the ferocious fans turned their attention towards she and Damon’s young daughters. Naturally, he was not having it!
In an interview with Access Hollywood Live, the music mogul weighed in on he feels about this fiasco.
“The only issue I had was them putting pressure on my children…” Dame told Access Hollywood Live. “For me it’s the history between me and Jay, me being his partner at the time in Roc-A-Fella and Rocawear and all that and best friend … of course, on a human level, it would bother me.”
We definitely agree with Damon about his children. They are off limits! Rachel was foolish to insert herself in this drama, and should have considered how this would affect her family. As we all know, Bey has never actually named who Becky is. Let’s hope the BeyHive pays attention and backs off those little girls.
