Dior‘s 2017 summer collection campaign just made waves earlier this week featuring none other than entertainment and fashions best-known artists. A$AP Rocky, Boy George and Rami Malek Are the Faces amongst Dior’s 2017 Summer Ad Campaign.
Dior’s Creative Director Kris Van Assche has done it again, this time with the help of music, film and fashion most iconic artists.
For the super hot black and white campaign, Assche once again enlists “fashion killer” rapper A$AP Rocky for the voguish frames. If you’ve already forgotten last June Rocky headlined Dior Hommes fall/winter campaign in stylish duds. According to sources, Assche acknowledged Rocky’s sense of style as part of the main reason why he was chosen to be the face of the brand.
In a past interview with WWD Assche stated, “I really like his (A$AP Rocky’s) personal style and taste. He’s a real fashion lover. He feels like fashion really influences his own work, and he has strong opinions on that.”
Also as part of the collective campaign, veteran artists like Boy George was chosen to be a part of the ad for his legendary status in music during the ’80s and ’90s. Cinematographer Rami Malek was selected for his “sober, cinematic” style and model Ernest Klimko rounds out the iconic group to symbolize Assche’s “radical fashion vision.”
