The highly anticipated 3^rd season of YEEZY made is debut in Madison Square Gardens last Friday, shutting down NYC Fashion Week for the duration of the event. With over 20,000 attendees and hundreds of thousands of fans around the world tuned in via live streaming for the collection as well as The Life of Pablo album unveiling, YEEZY Season 3 made its mark for one of the most sought after runway shows this season. On a massive levitated platform models including supermodel Naomi Campbell stood for the duration of the show, showcasing new ready-to-wear clothing and footwear from YEEZY. By the looks of some images from the show YEEZY’s Season 3 collection has evolved in almost every way. Utilizing a more artistic use of fabrics, styling and moody colors, while the basic tenets like: distressing, oversized silhouettes and muted tones of previous YEEZY Seasons remain intact. What is most striking is Kanye’s use of color-blocking and select patterns, which can largely be found throughout the women’s clothing and design patterns. The guys on the other hand evoke a more soft, urban space like jungle theme. Utilizing the same color blocking patterns with thick cotton fabrics and great layering the menswear fashion is on point complimenting the women’s strong silhouettes and patterns. I could go on for pages on all the stuff that went down at this show from the many celebrity appearances to the revival of Lamar Odom first time in the public eye since being released from the hospital, to an all out Fxxx You chant ignited by the crowd to Nike. With Kanye disk jockeying what else do you expect. His goal was to put on a show and he did just that plus more. Images of the hot event can be seen on every social media site out there. The Kardashian clan also made an abrupt appearance rocking iced out fur with Kim portraying a more early Hollywood glamour style even dying her well-known black hair ice blonde to fit the effect. YEEZY Season 3 hit NYC Fashion Week and took over completely without a doubt. Kanye is a true artist in the game and will be acknowledge as such lol.
