Anna Wintour Rejects Kimye Wedding Invite

At the wedding of the century that we’re not invited to, only a select few will get to witness what (some) will consider history as lyrical genius Kanye West weds reality star Kim Kardashian. As celebs clammer to get on the guest list of what will be an over-the-top, Kanye-approved event, one shoe-in will not be in attendance and that is the one and only Anna Wintour.

Since their Vogue Magazine cover hit stands last month, Wintour and the couple have grown publicly close to one another even accompany Wintour to the Met Gala earlier this month. Although Wintour obviously received an invite to the who’s-who event of the spring, she respectfully delcined the offer to sit amongst the celebrity elite on May 24th in Paris.

Fans can only imagine what the couples’ ceremony will look like. The wedding of the reality star and the rapper is said to be so intimate that even “Keeping up with the Kardashians” executive producer and family friend, Ryan Seacrest, did not score an invite. This also eludes to teh fact that, despite rumors, the ceremony will not be filmed for the reality star’s show, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” Earlier this week, Kim tweeted about the upcoming event, noting that the vows would not be filmed for her E! reality show, but ‘everything leading up til and after’ would be. ‘We’ve decided to keep this close to our heart and share thru photos.’

While the nuptuals may not be viewed on television, there is also talk about Wintour publishing photos from the event in Vogue Magazine. When asked about the wedding photos being featured in Vogue, a Vogue spokeswoman said: ‘We never comment on future issues’. Which basically means, “Yes, they will be, but we’re not going to tell you that now.”

If the attention craving couple didn’t invite Wintour to their private event as if they have been friends for years, it wouldn’t seem right. Same goes for the photos being published in Vogue. It only makes sense that the fashion elite have a place in their history even if it’s just for show. We’ll be keeping our eyes on these two…
