Warner Bros. remains “unbothered” in its attempts to expand the DC Cinematic Universe, and from the looks of it Aquaman will be taking it to the next level in the titular superhero’s first standalone feature film! When we last left Arthur Curry/Aquaman (Jason Momoa) he, alongside Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Cyborg, managed to defeat Steppenwolf and stave an invasion from the latter’s homeworld of Apokolips. Well it looks like Aquman is back in action–this time not only to save the surface world–but his own home of Atlantis as he goes to battle with his half-brother, Ocean Master for the fate of the kingdom and the world at large!
The new trailer for Aquaman has been released and it looks amazing! Everything about this film screams action and thrills. From underwater battles and an amazing origin story to deadly sibling rivalry and super villains! Check out the full trailer below!

We have to say Aquaman may very well redeem the DC Cinematic Universe. Thus far, only Wonder Woman has been met with critical acclaim, but we just know the King of Atlantis has the potential to have a film just as great. We loved seeing Ocean Master, and more so Black Manta in the mix. We are about to see just how deadly two of the biggest villains in his rogues’ gallery are. Black Manta’s eye beams from his signature helmet, alone, are terrifying!
Based on the trailer we can also see that he is not alone in his battle for Atlantis, with Mera by his side. This film may very well show just how the two of them fell in love. The desert scene and the clip we see of them running from Black Manta and his henchmen, only prove they are quite the Dynamic Duo on their own.
Finally, seeing Aquaman in his iconic costume, as more than a king, and with Poseidon’s trident is EVERYTHING!

Besides the action and the story we are hoping in future trailers and the film we get to see Aquaman’s sidekicks and family including Vulko, Aqualad, Tempest, Dolphin, and Aquagirl. Saving the world was hard, but saving the ocean–which is infinitely bigger is even harder! Be sure you catch Aquaman in theaters everywhere December 21, 2018!
