The singing diva that is Ariana Grande returns with new music almost exactly a year after her debut album, Truly Yours. She’s officially released My Everything for the public to embrace as of midnight Monday morning. Her newest body of work has had her fans on the edge of their seats since the release of “Problem” ft. Iggy Azalea. After opening up the VMAS Sunday night she’s set the momentum for the sophomore effort even higher. Performing solo then alongside Jesse J and Nicki Minaj, it looks like Grande isn’t going anywhere if anyone was ever wondering.
This project marks her evolution as an artist and a woman. At the age of 21 she’s belting out emotions all over this project. Although Grande is having a little more fun on these records she’s mostly celebrating the idea of breaking up from a relationship that’s gone wrong. The success of her second released track “Break Free” has also exploded on the charts with fans of all ages to dance out to. The sound itself is very different for the songbird to embrace. Having more of a dance club beat she’s pulling for a broader audience. To no surprise she’s also invited current beau Big Sean to join her on a track properly titled, “Best Mistake”.
The title track “My Everything” is a classic, but rare ballad that’s been missing from mainstream music nowadays. Her vocal ability is flawless and effortless with each breath. This album is already expected to top the charts as soon as the end of the week. No surprise to see this pop diva collaborating with artist like The Weekend and A$AP Ferg gravitating to more of an R&B crowd. Versatility is certainly on her radar for sure. Grande is on her way higher and higher with this one.
