Ashanti announces the release of her new single, “Never Should Have.” The heartfelt ballad is now available on iTunes and is the latest single from the Grammy Award winning, multi-platinum singer/songwriter, actor and author off her forthcoming album, “Braveheart,” which will be released on June 11, 2013 on Written Entertainment/ eOne Music. A video for the single was just shot in Santa Barbara, CA with director Sanji Senaka (David Guetta & Nicki Minaj, Nelly, Common, Jennifer Lopez, etc.) and will be released soon.
Ashanti has also made her series regular debut on Army Wives this season as “Latasha Montclair,” a force of nature and an indomitable spirit for whom “southern hospitality” isn’t just a concept, it’s a way of life. Latasha finds joy in navigating the daily chaos of singlehandedly wrangling her three children while her husband, “Quincy” (Joshua Henry, Godspell, The Scottsboro Boys), is deployed overseas. Ashanti’s new single “Never Should Have” is currently featured in the promos for Season 7 and will be in an episode of the series as well.
