The 8th edition of the Atlanta Annual Fashion Week just ended, and I would like to share one of my greatest experiences as a wardrobe stylist from Saturday night’s show.
About seven designers from around the world were able to present their collections that night at 595 North Event Center. From Mexico to Nigeria and the Caribbean Islands, various nationalities were represented, however one designer especially stood out. Tayyab Bombal not only performed a remarkable show, but also captured the audience with his exquisite designs.
Even though the event was not organized quite as well as expected, the young fashion designer from Pakistan stayed calmand did not show any sign of stress, anxiety or disappointment.
Eleven looks from his current collection were exhibited on the runway Saturday night. All of them representing a very sophisticated style with a refined Pakistan touch. While vibrant blue and black were used on a pure velvet fabric, other colors such as burgundy, beige, maroon and white were used on cotton, raw silk and denim. With no pattern or very little at the cuffs of some sleeves, a neat printed scarf was occasionally added on the shoulder, to give the outfit a slight Pakistan detail.
The 28-year-old designer is without a doubt very talented, but also has a great spirit and is a true inspiration.
I was very fortunate to be able to work with him during his show and trust me when I say, Tayyab Bombal is definitely a name to be remembered in the fashion industry.
