The Billboard Awards is quickly approaching! And with the anticipated show comes great performances and a few surprises. This year’s awards ceremony will take place on May 22nd at the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas with a live broadcast at 8 p.m. on ABC. The Billboard Awards will be hosted by two of Atlanta’s finest−Ciara and Ludacris.
Ludacris who has now hosted for the third-year in a row will return next month to bless the audience with his personality adding Ciara in the mix. And it seems like the duo is looking forward to their new hosting gig.
“It is my honor to host the Billboard Music Awards for the third year and a pleasure to host with my good friend Ciara,” says Ludacris. “I’m looking forward to another great show in a new and exciting venue.”
The Billboard Music Awards will announce the finalists of the six categories on Monday on ABC’S Good Morning America with more categories to follow on the Billboard Music Awards social media channels: Facebook and Periscope. A live stream on ABC News will then announce the remaining categories. All finalists will be selected based on fan interactions with music, such as album and digital and digital songs sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social engagement tracked by Billboard and its data partners. The awards are based on the reporting period of March 23rd 2015, through March 17 2016.
