1. Tell us what this book is about?
Celibacy: What Was I Thinking? is about my personal journey living a celibate lifestyle. I share my date and non-dating encounters and the pitfalls of being celibate. I pass along the nuggets of wisdom I have gained along the way. I expose myself further by sharing excerpts from my journal writings.
2. Why did you choose to write this book?
Celibacy is still considered a taboo subject and nobody talks about it or knows how to bring it up in conversation. I wanted to share that celibacy is do-able and you can have a full and meaningful life if being celibate is your choice. My book is a great way for churches to open a dialogue with their Young Adults and Single Ministries about sex and making smarter lifestyle choices.
3. Tell us why your writing is unique?
I am a storyteller from my heart. I tell stories when speaking, singing or doing comedy. I used the same methodology in writing about this sensitive and provocative subject with humor as if we were sitting at my kitchen table having a casual, sharing and caring moment with coffee.
4. What can we look forward from you?
I will be doing a virtual book signing tour in the fall of 2013;
I am working on facilitating a Celebrating Celibacy retreat in 2014;
I hope to finish up a comedy comic book that I started on earlier this year;
I will be doing a live DVD comedy recording in 2014.
