We here at Kontrol love to support and share happenings around Atlanta, the country, and the world that have a great philanthropic mission for the community. B.E.A.U.T.Y Mentoring Foundation in partnership with Celebs Give Back Foundation, Glen Davis of the LA Clippers, KCOH Radio The City of Houston, & The City Wide Club will host the 1st Annual “Houston Hope for the Holidays” event where some of your favorite celebrities will participate in a Toy/Gift drive for Houston area children.
The B.E.A.U.T.Y Mentoring Program (B.E.A.U.T.Y) is a girl’s mentorship program that promotes mental health and empowerment for girls ages 11-18. They inspire awareness through workshops, seminars, and one-on-one sessions that encourage advancement and leadership. They strive to enhance self-esteem, knowledge, courage, confidence, and personal development among young ladies across the Houston area.
Celebs Give Back (CGB) was created to provide assistance to communities, fans, and supporters around the globe causing the organization to impact families while creating lifelong influences on the lives of the youth that will strengthen generation to come. Each year CGB has a Christmas Campaign to assist the community. Past participants include, Rodney Perry, Big Boi of Outkast, Mrs. Georgia Globe, Bryan Michael Cox, Jermaine Dupri, and various entertainers.
In order to be considered as being a recipient of some of the items that will be donated at the drive, Houston families (foster children, homeless and low income families) in need are being encouraged to register at www.CELEBSGIVEBACK.org. Families that are properly registered will be able to attend the citywide toy drive taking place on December 24th at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
