Kontrol Magazine, in conjunction with The Cut Life and Design Essentials, hosted a free event at StarTaki Hair Lounge in Metro Atlanta titled The Beauty Diaries.

The Beauty Diaries is a social event by Atlanta’s own Kontrol Magazine. The goal is to reach out to the readers and provide them with useful beauty information they can use in their everyday life. The speakers for the event are Leah Gordone (Kontrol Magazine’s Beauty Editor), Nataki Minix (Owner of StarTaki Hair Lounge) and Tahira Joy (Co-founder of The Cut Life). Each panelist provided the audience with useful beauty tips that came from years of experience.

The women gave advice on everything from hair to makeup. Next, the discussion went further when the audience was able to ask more specific questions to the panel. One audience member asked about skin care, which is essential in achieving the best results for smooth makeup and healthy skin. Nataki stated that she uses Mary Kay skin care products in order to maintain her skin. Leah uses African Black Soap as a part of her skin care routine. Tahira says that the best skin care routine is being mindful of the food you eat. Another skin care tip that all three ladies agree on is exfoliation.

For the lovers of the barely there/ no makeup look, chances are you use a tinted moisturizer. The hot sun can cause some issues for your look. The solution to the issue according to Leah: use a setting powder.

Beauty Diaries is a great way to meet panelist with experience and other people that enjoy beauty, both in terms of makeup and hair under one roof. Come out and add more tools to your beauty toolbox. You won’t leave disappointed.
