Beyoncé and her team hinted that a major announcement of some sort would be released yesterday in a six second YouTube teaser . Immediately thereafter, #BeyHereNow began trending, causing stans and fans to buzz with excitement. This morning as promised, Bey’s camp released her new Pepsi commercial, with snippets of her new song, ‘Grown Woman’ included.
The new commercial features Bey battling the Beyoncé’s of the past in the mirror, including the “Crazy In Love” Beyoncé , and the Beyoncé of the The Sasha Fierce era. It also sends the message, “”Embrace your past but live for now.” The campaign is part of Pepsi’s “Live For Now” global initiative which launched last year with the likes of Nicki Minaj and reflects the insight that Pepsi fans all around the world desire to capture the excitement of now.
Beyoncé on new campaign:
I had so much fun collaborating on this campaign with Pepsi. I got to re-live some of my favorite past characters and looks. It was the first time I saw those costumes in years and it was very emotional. I’m proud of those moments and they all connect in some way and have helped me evolve into who I am today.
Here’s a teaser of Beyonce’s new ‘Grown Woman’ track, produced by Timbaland, rumored to be released on iTunes, April 8th. I guess it’s time to hop on the Beyoncé train…you ready? Are you excited for Beyoncé’s return?
